Kinunu is located in Rutsiro District in the Western Province of Rwanda. A green leafy area, Kinunu lies on the shores of Lake Kivu and is popularly known for producing great coffee. In the heart of a coffee plantation was built Kinunu guest house which offers fascinating views of Lake Kivu as well as astonishing ecotourism experience to visitors. Activities offered at Kinunu guest house include live experience on how coffee is grown and catered for until it reaches the cup. This is a unique ecotourism attraction with big involvement of the local community. Kinunu guest house is also famously known as base camp for the Congo Nile trail which attracts many tourists and cyclists.
